One of the Adelaide Hills’ most famous towns, Hahndorf is Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement.
Spend a day up in the Adelaide Hills picking your own strawberries and or just head into the German Arms Hotel and sink a few of their famous German wheat-beers that they have on tap.
Hahndorf has plenty of souvenir shops, craft outlets and galleries.
Near Hahndorf, you can pick your own strawberries (Nov to April) at Beerenberg.
Just out of town you will also find several wineries producing wines the Adelaide Hills is famous for.
How to get there ?
Head down to Currie Street where there is the D1 bus stop outside TAFE SA.

Ticketing
Between 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday and all day Sunday ask the driver for a 2 hour Inter peak ticket which costs $3.50. At all other times including Saturday the cost of a ticket is $5.40.
