The free tours departs from the Visitor Information Centre at Schomburgk Pavilion at 10.30am daily (except Christmas and Good Friday). Even if your not into gardens or plants it’s a pleasant way to enjoy a couple of hours cruising around the Adelaide Botanic Gardens

The Adelaide Botanic Garden is home to three architecturally significant glass houses – the Palm house, the Bicentennial Conservatory and the Amazon Waterlily Pavilion. Each glass house was built for a specific purpose and represents a leading design for its time.
Visit the internationally significant Santos Museum of Economic Botany, which first opened to the public in 1881, or stroll down the oldest avenue of Moreton Bay fig trees in Australia.
View the exotic Victoria Amazonica in the exquisite glass Amazon Waterlily Pavilion and continue into the tropics by visiting the Bicentennial Conservatory, the largest single span glasshouse in the southern hemisphere.
Wander through the SA Water Mediterranean Garden displaying plants from the five mediterranean climates of the world or go native in the Australian Native Garden.
